Well, if you’d rather hear about the strawberrys dipped in honey, or the silk scarves and an ice cube, or even what she does with a wooden ruler…;)

Or it might have been on daylight – but then I don’t know how dark it was nor the time of day (dawn or dusk would have the same effect – they do in the movies!).
I would like to think that Auto would have neutralised any predominant colour cast – best check the instructions (rude word!) and see what its recommends,
Good luck.

Try Teletext central Scotland news pages
More than a hundred “big ones” were nicked from Craigmillar Hill, a nearby hillside location to be used as part of the Edinburgh Hogmanay display. There may be a display of sorts yet in Edinburgh’s Craigmillar housing scheme.:D

I experienced the worst Hogmanay for years in Edinburgh. 50mph winds and torrential rain whilst standing atop a 20 foot platform in the open. No concert, no fireworks, still had to stay til 1am taking shots of empty streets for the news boys.

We are experiencing the hottest summer for 103 years

Not much point in looking out of my window – it is dark – yet I can still hear the rain hammering against it… 4c, apparently!

Balence?
Your pix were blue. In overcast conditions the light comes through the clouds and has a blue cast – which your eyes normally doesn’t see because it adjusts for such colour casts (light bulbs are another – daylight film usually sees it as orange, but your eyes adjust for that too).
Some cameras have a ‘White Balence’ button or feature, which measures the colour temperature (the colour is measured by temperature!). Under the circumstances above that would make your snow whiter – suitable for washing powder adverts!
