The A-4 Skyhawk appears to be losing ground. The RNZAF, once a bastion of A-4 operations, have ceased to fly them. The A-4Ks were (still are) amongst the best equipped examples. They were a very good indication of what can be accomplished in upgrading/remanufacturing.
The RMAF flew A-4PTMs for only a few years suggesting that the rework done before delivery was perhaps too minimal to ensure sustainable operation.
