Hi all.

Certainly not from the control panel, however the trimming wheel unit did have an indicator incorporated into it, but since no trimming unit survives (or parts of one that are known) it is difficult to say for sure.

That said I doubt AW would have used an electrical indicator – it would almost certainly been mechanical, so, in my opinion, no!

And Peter’s point is a good one!

The last word should go to Elliott of course, but I’ll state my opinion…

Rare yes, Whitley no.

The vendor may be confusing it with the lookalike flap indicator guages often fitted to aircraft of that era.

More to the point, if you tried to fly a Whitley nose-up it would probably stall.
(Whitleys used to fly with an alarmingly nose-down attitude, something to do with the angle of incidence of the wing I think)
