Very much looking forward to having Sir James Dyson’s ‘Whittle’ Rolls Royce Welland engine at the museum on Sat 15th. Short engine runs planned at 1200, 1300, 1400 & 1500. It’ll be wonderful to see (and hear!) this back in the County synonymous with the jet age.

How many runs can they do between overhauls? (serious question)

Yes, it looks like Terry Jones’ engine.
Wasn’t aware that Dyson had bought it.

Is this the same one that ran at Duxford’s ‘Flying Legends’ event a few years back?
