Usually one at the end of April; does anybody know if this event is happening?

I hope to post some news here next week.
Meanwhile, just bumping this up again.
Would be good to gauge levels of interest from punters and stallholders.
Do you think there is a demand and appetite for this event? Early October. A certain Cambridgeshire aviation location ;)….. to be confirmed!
Hi there yes i think there is still a great demand for for this type of event ….. and on my door step too:cool:

The gossip in the ‘volunteer crew-room’ at Newark is that they are planning another Indoor Table Top Sale on Saturday 7th November 2009; although there’s nothing showing on their website, or in their quarterly newsletter.
Perhaps they will provide details at their June event.

There was an event at EMA on March 27th  or perhaps 28th:confused: http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/news/Aviation-fair-airport/article-850864-detail/article.html
By the sound of things there wasn’t too much airframe material.

Wasn’t there an aviation fair at Nottingham East Midlands Airport [or whatever it’s called this week] just before Easter?
Don’t know…..didn’t hear anything about it but I went to an Aerojumble years ago at East Midlands Airport (I think).
Quite a strange affair really…..stalls set up all along the main terminal building with holidaying families struggling by with enormous suitcases…
…some engaged in the traditional airport holiday ritual…..of a blazing domestic! :diablo:

At the venue I have been asked to look at with a view to organising an aerojumble the admission fee for the aerojumble will not be the full admission fee for the main attraction at that venue 😉
The outline plan is that a seperate fee will be applied for access to the aerojumble only, and with a likely reduction of that sum from the main entry fee.:)
More follows……
Soon!

Newark did offer a discounted admission for both events last winter. Obviously the next one there has the benefit of running alongside Cockpitfest.

I have already expressed a personal view that the new events at Newark might spell the end for Whitwick. 🙁
I’ve always enjoyed Whitwick but I think a Museum makes the perfect venue for an Aerojumble.
I went to the last one at Newark and the one held a Brooklands and although I didn’t buy much I felt that neither trip was wasted as I got to have a good look round the museums (neither of which I had been to in years) and also spent some money in the café and shop in both cases. Can’t remember if there was a concession to get into the museum in either case; probably.
Surely this is the way to go; shouldn’t it be a win-win for everybody?

So perhaps all is not lost – these events might do better in a recession!
Newark’s website now showing summer Aeroboot details http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/news.php 🙂

Yes, quite likely.;)
Watch this space for news – one way or another – very shortly…..!!

Any particular reason that it didn’t happen?
I think you can sum it up as “trading conditions”.
Not enough stall holders, too few paying visitors, the ebay effect, etc.

I believe that Newark also has an Aeroboot as part of this event http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/newsItem.php?id=85 but it’s not mentioned in the Cockpitfest write-up!

It’s actually more like the beginning of April, and so no, it didn’t happen.
The next one on the calendar is Popham, next weekend, bank holiday monday May 4th.
