Who are you?

In the same vein as the info in the user profiles, it occurred to me it might be interesting for us to say a bit more about us so that we have a more precise mental picture of the people whose posts we read daily.

I know that some of you have already posted personal info here and there, but it could be a good idea to put it all in the same thread. So if you want to tell us some more about you, your age (though with some posters, the maturity level seems fairly obvious; not naming any names 🙂 ) , your background and anything else relevant you want to share, I’m fairly sure it would be interesting reading.

I’ll start the ball rolling:
I’m 29. I work in the UK, in the localisation industry. I don’t have any formal link with the aviation industry though I have had occasion to work on aviation projects. The main first-hand experience of modern air forces I’ve had is working with a former fighter pilot of a Western air force who had seen action in the last 2 decades of the century (the 20th!). (Incidentally, he was very modest, not at all boastful; quite significant, that). Otherwise, my interest in modern military aviation is a personal pursuit/hobby.
