Who can add more accurate detail to these 3 vids ? e.g. where not evident carrier, exact model of aircraft, airport or location, etc
(1) http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/real-rough-landing/881ycans?cpkey=baa1a4b8-3315-481e-bdc8-0f2f38b37039||||
Captioned “really rough landing”. Probably rough for passengers or cabin crew not strapped in.
For those current pilots who also recognize the above event/incident would you say safe, unavoidable in the unique circumstances and would you consider re-captioning the vid ?

Or is it partly conscious or unconscious camera tricks in the opening frames?
Captioned “plane barely misses golden gate bridge”
United B-747
Is this a real incident or again partly conscious or unconscious camera tricks in the opening frames?

1 and 2 real 3 fake
Hi tenthije
(1) Hamburg airport – ATC to blame for not requesting a holding pattern until airport cross wind runaway was opened. Scary stuff if the guys on the ground aren’t making it safe for pilots and pax. Hats off to the flight crew for doing their utmost and saving a catastrophe especially since the wingtip glanced the ground.
Do you know when ?
(2) Kai Tak with the famous striped marker that pilots have to aim to use to make the sharp turn to line up for finals.
I guess this is pre 1998 since they have an improved international airport at HK
(3) Sounds as if MSN don’t screen or question the integrity of the video material they publish.

1) is real. A lufthansa flight into Hamburg, flight LH44. While landing in a crosswind a sudden gust of wind made the plane go of track. The wingtip did hit the ground. A safe go-around was made, and the airport opened their crosswind runway. Why they did not do this from the beginning I don’t know.
2) It’s Kai Tak. Single runway only, so either you’re diverting or you’re commited.
3) From the desciption I already decided this is a fake. Did not open it.

(3) My reason for posting – surely just on caption United can possibly sue MSN

If its deliberate camera tricks the damages could be severe if United took up the challenge of legal procedings against MSN.
Apart from the noise of camera shutters the only dialogue I can hear is the mention of similarity to Kai Tak

3rd one’s fake. Watch the jet exhaust as the plane ‘passes’ the tower the first time. It’s nowhere near the bridge, but the exhaust blurs the bridge image.
Will now watch one and two.
Pretty sure 1 & 2 are real, and well documented elsewhere.
