My father just flew out of LAX en route to ATH via CDG on AF and his flight was also a 744. AF operates 2 dailies from CDG to LAX, both flights being a 777. However, 4-5 days per week they have a 3rd flight, which is operated by a 744. This is also the flight that continues on from LAX and goes to PPT, and back. The 777’s don’t go to PPT
Thanks mate.:)

Mongu
1. British Airways (57 deliveries) Engines: RR
2. SIA (54) Engines: PW
3. United (44) Engines: PW
4. JAL (42) Engines: GE
5. Korean (39) Engines: PW
6. Lufthansa (31) Engines: GE
7. Qantas (26) Engines: 22RR, 4GE
8. ANA (23) Engines: GE
9. Cathay (22) Engines: RR
10. Malaysian (21) Engines: 17PW, 4GE
Are you quite sure this information is up-to-date? By my count KLM has 22 B747-400’s in passenger configuration as well as 2 B747-400’s in cargo configuration. That would bring it at the 8th spot.
Next to that there are 8 B747-200’s (there were 10 but the cargos have gone) and 3 B747-300’s.

Thanks Monster.
As I was saying earlier , I’m flying to SFO and LAX on next Nov and none of my flight is scheduled with AN 777.
Maybe the summer schedule is different from the winter one.
Impressive report anyway 🙂

CDG-LAX (again, also operate some 747’s here)

CDG-JNBregarding seating, I dunno, I haven’t been on the 777, but according to the seat map, 3-3-3 in economy, 2-2-2 in First
and 2-3-2 in business.I, like you, wasn’t convinced with the 340’s 2-4-2 in economy (it’s 2-2-2 in both cabins up the front)
Of course, these routes are not guaranteed to be operateb by 777, but it’s probably a fair representation of when to expect a 777. so, Hand, you may be in for at least 1.
Airfrance is also operating the A340 in to Singapore now, the service operates CDG-BKK-SIN and the same on the rtn leg, saw her in Sin a few days ago. the remainder are 777 operated.

actually Japan Airlines has the most 747s, you didnt specify if it was 400-300-200 or 100 series.
JAL has the 747-400 titled Jal’s 100th 747, they have far more 747s than any other airline.
as for the 777 SIA has 47 in operation with the option of 22 and a firm order for another 12.
SIA operates only 39 of the 744, this includes 13 withdrawn from service.

You can’t count the likes of ILFC, GATX, etc as they’re just leasing companies!

Okay, courtesy of Boeing. The following are deliveries of 747-400:
1. British Airways (57 deliveries) Engines: RR
2. SIA (54) Engines: PW
3. United (44) Engines: PW
4. JAL (42) Engines: GE
5. Korean (39) Engines: PW

8. ANA (23) Engines: GE

10. Malaysian (21) Engines: 17PW, 4GE
So, for the top 10 operators:

Rolls-Royce – 101 aircraft
Of course, the numbers of aircraft in actual operation may not be the same as this list indicates.

Yeah I would say BA too.
By: Ren Frew - 29th July 2003 at 23:15
I’m guessing BA must be high up the list.
By: mongu - 29th July 2003 at 23:13
OK, who operates the most 747s?
I’d imagine a Japanese carrier. Maybe SIA or perhaps BA?
By: A330Crazy - 29th July 2003 at 21:29
How many does JAL have… I know they have a mix of 200’s and 300’s. Soon to recieve 300ER’s.

Thanks Adam 🙂

After some research i have found that UA has ordered 61 777s, with 59 delivered. they, therefore operate the most 777s. however, ILFC has ordered 67 777s, but with only 17 delivered.
