I have always thought that we have a special feeling for music. Part of Europe we take roots from anglosaxon pop, having lots of ethnic roots we lots of different tones, instruments, with a foot in Africa and arab world and other in Southamerica, we have interesting combinations. Unfortunately our industry goes to selfcomsuption and to Latinamerica. All this is to ask you who sells more CD in your countries….Here the top singer is this 21 young guy. So you might image…hundred of thounsends teenagers yelling, screaming and faintin in his concerts. Pop music, ballads (Luis Miguel style) and spanish notes. He has a great voice and dances just superb. 800.000 copies sold in three weeks, which is a lot for Spain

I don’t know to be honest. These corny pop groups are popular at the moment – like Liberty X. I personally hate Pop Music and am more into the less well known, rock groups.

Well it’s all over for the Yugoslavs, the fat lady (Ceca) is the most popular singer by far. There is hope, scientists are still divided over whether her particular brand of “ethno-folk-pop” can really be called singing. The current consensus is that she has a team of proffessional cat stranglers working for her back stage. Animal rights groups are up in arms although if you ask me, human rights groups should also get in on the act – there is evidence of real human suffering at her concerts. 🙂
So, can you tell I don’t think much of Ceca?
BTW, Ceca is the widow of the Serbian militia-leader, the late Arkan.

Yeah, thats her, Lata Mangeshkar. On tv they were showing this beautiful morning country scene with this teenage girl singing with this powerful voice. And then they announcer said that the voice was dubbed and showed Lata in the studio. These links mention here for singing work in movies.

Keltic she is in the Guiness for singing the most no. of songs or in the most languages. – She is a legend along with her 2 sisters.

fat lady???? No fat lady singer i know of, but the most album sold here are by Nusret Fathe Ali Khan a Paki kawali singer. ANy chance u know that ladies name?

Hey, whos that guy from spain who was really big in 2000, who wrote that song that goes “chivo chivo chivo a me corazon”(words?), I miss that one.
