I’m pretty sure I know what this is.
Who recognises it and where is it now?

BoB film Casa 2-111 (He111) studio aid.
The shot is one of several given to me by Colin Waterworth about 10-15 years ago. At that time he was seeking a new home for his collection of He111 parts.
It is indeed a sectioned Casa 2-111 fuselage used by the film company for internal shots. Sections could be removed for access for the film crew, hence the external ‘Mini body-shell style’ flanges.
The collection also included a substantial amount of genuine He111 crash site parts including sections of a wing and a Jumo engine.
There didn’t seem to be too much interest back then but these were significant parts and I was interested to learn of their ultimate fate and location.

I remember seeing this (unpainted) a few years back in open storage in the Lancashire area. Pretty sure its a Casa 2.111 fuselage which was put in a rig and sectioned so that the interior shots for the BoB film could be filmed, hence all the toggles and catches which allowed various sections to be removed. I think it was owned by Colin Waterworth at the time I saw it.
Not sure where it is now as he disposed of it in the late 90’s

Mark,
No idea.
Are those external flanges and hinges? Reminds me of my old Mini. I asume therefore it’s not a swing-nose (swing fuselage) cargo version and is a film prop so that all those escape/burning crewman/model-spitfires-flying-on-cables-over-the-upper-gun-position shots from the BoB film could be made easily?

Looks like the fuselage of the Heinkel He-111 project that has been for sale in Austria for some time. I remember seeing a photograph in FLugzeug Classic recentely. Apparently most of the fuselage was recovered from Norway (engine and tail still at Duxford) in the seventies and the nose section is from a Spanish example that came from the UK.

Looks like it could be a rig used during the filming of the BoB film or if not perhaps PoC.
