How about everyone just having a picture of the week?
Less confusing than all ## of us posting everyday and more interesting having different pics from people spread over the week.
It could go in alphabetical order or something…
Those with names from A-D post on Monday, E-H on Tuesday, I-L on Wednesday, M-P on Thursday, Q-T on Friday, U-V on Saturday and W-Z on Sunday.
Its sad and kinda pathetic i know but its my suggestion..

Not a bad idea. But if we do that, aren’t we going to end up with like 100s of pic of the days? That’d be confusing!

Don’t get me wrong Ja I think its a great idea that you post more pictures of aviation around the pacific regions but I don’t think drawing up a roster is that greater thing.For the last couple of months Kabir has posted superb pictures and I hope he will continue to,but don’t you think he might not exacley like being being limited to the number of pictures he posts when it was his idea in the firs place?Don’t get me wrong I would love to see more picture from you bu is it the best way to do it by using pic of the day to show them?

I am happy to do some pictures, but instead of joining this, I’ll just post my own pictures when I get my new scanner. I got some nice pictures from some places that have not being used yet. So I will test and see if anyone can guess where they were taken. One tip already though, non-european pictures.

OMG u all are stealing my pic of the days from me…. 😉 …..nah i’ll be happy to co-operate in any way you guys would like. I just post so many pics of the day to just keep the pace of the forum moving…sorry if i posted too much.

T5, it’s a great idea. I was apprehensive at first, cause Kab seems to have the market in Pics of the day on all three forums, not that I begrudje him for it. I feel that the rest of the world is left out because all pics seem to be of European origin.
Before I started “pic of Inspiration” on the AFM forum, I emailed Kab to see if it would interfere with his work! His responce was “Go ahead, it’s a free world”! He even went as far as to say that he’d like to see what I have!
And then I posted that pic of Longreach, everyone liked it and asked for more, so I posted them! but everyone had settled back down really quickly to the mundane!
I have spent no less than 100 hours on the internet to find what few pics I have of interesting stuff for this forum, and I’m proud to display what I have. By the sounds of it, everyone else is starting to want to see more of the unusual/exotic stuff, especially where europe is concerned!
Kab has done a great job of keeping interest flowing (especially those Kai Tak pics), he has been my inspiration for my posting of the “Pics of Down Under” series, collaboration is the key to success! Now all we need is someone from the Americas side and we pretty much have the world covered!
Sorry, I just got a bit down cause I posted some pics and was on the net for two days straight (working on my business), and saw that no-one had looked at the pics! Check out the Bankstown one, that airport is one busy place, my cousin and I used to ride there on our push bikes and sit right under the landing path, pure inspiration!
Also this is where most of the warbirds in Australia first arrive to be rebuilt and serviced. My cousins Mig-15 is based here!

I got a really bad feeling about saying this, but how about rotating the ‘pic of the day’ slightly? By this, I mean why don’t some of us have a go at finding top notch aircraft pictures? Or introduce Pic of the Day ‘downunder’. It’s pretty routine for Kabir to pic of the day and to take that away from him would be tragic because he has a fine collection of pics but perhaps a new regular section would go down a little better. I have looked at your pics and think they are great as with all others displayed on the forum… you photographers deserve a good pat on the back because your work is great!
If you disagree with what I’ve said, please don’t post a reply, I’ll get the message eventually!! 🙂
