Why Doesn't Israel deploy MTHEL?

With Israel being bombarded daily by hundreds of rockets from Southern Lebanon, I’m curious why they have not deployed the MTHEL system. It proved years ago that it could destroy incoming rockets, artillery shells and mortar rounds. Anybody know what’s preventing the deployment?

Looks like it needs more work. If the size can be reduced to 3 x 20-ft. containers, and the cost brought down a bit, then maybe it will be worth deploying.. or maybe an electric-powered version will come along. Anyway, thanks fopr the info.

1. By the time it arrived on the scene, this shooting war will be over.
2. Budget ($$$)
3. Size (10x 20t trailers @ ~10km range)
4. Messy (requires lots of fancy toxic chemicals)

Look for Skyguard though (the next gen THEL).
