Never understood why we have to eat Turkey at Xmas its not really a tasty meat and i know of noone who eats it anyother time of the year unless bernard Mathews makes it shapes that is.
So if you could eat one meat at xmas what would it be?

Depends on what part of the world you live in, i thought Turkey was only popular in America

I prefer ham or mutton or chicken (OK it is actually AND and not OR) at christmas… If it is hot we have a salad or a barbeque.
The lunch (with dessert) is normally the biggest meal with family and then tea (ie dinner) is leftovers from lunch with more dessert.

And then the orderlies allow you to play with the crayons for the afternoon, as long as you don’t try to eat them…
Then you take the rice crispy bit out!!!

(Better mention that this might be regarded as trivial by other thread posters/readers…;))
Um… Eating turkey was almost certainly imported from the americas for some reason or other. In Britain it was traditional (for those who could afford it) to eat goose at Christmas.
