Why no live GB ATC broadcast allowed on the internet?

I listen in the background(doing other things) to live ATC broadcast from all over the world but mostly from Queensland, Australia which covers Oceanic ATC HF SSB communications from Japan to San Francisco. You can listen to both civilian and military aircraft. I tried to find out why no GB broadcast and the answer I got was that there is still a law on the books preventing the live transmissions. You can hear ATC from China, Russia, and Ireland. Makes no sense to me – any comments.
