why no UAVs over Lybia?

I imagine medium UAVs are too important for missions in Afghanistan and Iraq, but I think UAVs would be a game changer in Lybia: with the Lybian air defence out of the picture, Predators and Reapers (and Herons) could track any ground units 24/7, using the rebels as bait, counter-attacking any government troops dumb enough to open fire and reveal themselves

AWACS, jets and satellites are lovely and all, but they lack cheap persistence and visual confirmation, vital in an operation like this one. this goes to show how such cheap prop aircraft will be useful in wars beyond Afghanistan, as well as in non-military operations, like SAR and border patrol
