Regular visitors to Laarbruch in the 90’s were the Radar Killing Wild Weasels of the 52nd TFW at Spangdahlen, this series shows F-4G’s 69-0252 and 69-0267 about to return home after a visit in 1990. The second shot also shows the second component of the hunting/killing team, an F-16.

Pagen.
It’s a 2002 zombie thread. One of those who posted previously is no longer with us and I don’t remember seeing anything of keithmac for a long long time either.

Anyone read it?

Seems to be a pattern… albeit a very sporadic & sparse one.
Guilty as charged although, perhaps, not for the reason you would think.
Since the publication run for the book might go to all of 500 copies, the odds of me receiving feedback from anyone but either family or those I write about are small. Those audiences aren’t likely to give objective feedback and I can’t learn where I need to improve my writing skills from those I’m most interested in, the reader.
Apologies for nefariousness. Previous post in this thread edited.

The “thread necromancer” responsible has exactly 2 posts in the 19 months since he joined this forum… one in August 2008 re-activating a 4-month dormant thread to list a book directly relevant to the thread discussion (books about Beaufighters)… and this one, re-animating a 7-year moribund thread to list a book relating to the thread subject…
Seems to be a pattern… albeit a very sporadic & sparse one.

beauhistory you have a pm. This thread has run its course and with the pictures no longer working there is no better reason to close it.

RE: Wild Weasels!!
Actually Keith if you post more Rhino pics, you’ll have TWO fans. Those are wonderful pictures, and I agree, the Viper just doesn’t compare to the mighty Fox-4.

RE: Wild Weasels!!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-12-02 AT 07:42 PM (GMT)]Superb photos Keith, I think the F-4E/G Hunter/Killer team in ‘European 1’ camo was a far more impressive sight, the F-16 looks so feeble next to the bulk of the Rhino, although I am biased being a Phantom nut, if you’ve got anymore Rhino pics Keith keep em coming, you’ll be guarateed at least one fan!:-)
Regards, Dazza.
