Will Cosford Dornier go on display?

Was watching one of those ‘drain the oceans’ programs the other night and they featured the recovery of the Do17 from the Goodwin Sands a few years back.

An expert was talking about it being pretty much intact though the pictures of it emerging from the water suggested the opposite.

Anyway, does anyone know where they’re up to in terms of putting it on display?

The remains are still in the MBCC building ,wings still the wrong way up the remains of the fuselage in the frame holding it together. It will never be a complete aircraft. There’s not enough metal left to hold it together.

I did an interview for the Wings Over Britain podcast at Cosford with collection manager Darren Priday, and he talks about the Dornier in that. It is not yet ready for display but will be eventually. I cannot recall more details sorry, but you will have to keep an eye on the podcast feed as it should roll out in the show feed in the next wee while.
