It looks to have been a really good show and the weather Gods played ball too for a change. I wish I could have been there too. I have to say that TEEJ really picked a brilliant spot as it gave himethe opportunity for some very unusual angles on some regularly seen aircraft.

That really must have been an impressive sound with XH558 thundering and echoing around the valleys.

Whatever it is it worked well as the angles of those shots are different to say the least. All I can say is more please if you have any.

What is the location of Picture 9 please ?
There’s a debate as to whether that is a natural rock outcrop, or man made.
With most going for natural 🙂

Windermere Air Festival
Excellent shots. I was at Southport Airshow the same day. Wish I could’ve been in 2 places at once.
Here’s a link to my photos from Southport which are on facebook

What wonderful photographs. The backgrounds make them special. You have done a superb job framing them. I think the two photos with the Vulcan and also the Lanc far off with the hills in the backgrounds are great stuff. All you needed was a Tornado in the same location and you’d have RAF Bomber Command as a pictorial history. Thanks for sharing these wonderful shots with us.:D

Glad to hear it – Tom is a great photographer …
Hi Roberto
Glad to hear it – Tom is a great photographer.:)
And he has got three of the UK’s most favourite/nostalgic aircraft with backgrounds that all lovers of nature admire – the Lake District.:D
The pictures are what Tom I hope will have people wishing to enlarge as high quality prints and frame paying Tom of course the copyright fee.;)
