its strange that none of the belgian members posted something about this movie here earlier, so anyway here it is, just hope i posted in the right place, since ther’s no seperate movies topic.
Windkracht 10 (or Galeforce 10 in english) is a movie about the lives of the men and women from the 40th SAR squadron based at koksijde, centered in the movie is of cource are own Seaking Mk.48 helicopters.
i went to see this movie for the first time today, and it sure was worth the 5 euro’s i spent. its the biggest flemish movie ever made, costing 4.5 million euro’s, and some action scene’s recorded at the famous pinewood studio’s.
back to aviation, other aircraft that are seen in the movie are the C-130H, A-109, Allouette III and a civil BK-117, although they are active in the film, there role is verry limited.

PS: for our members outside the benelux, since there might be a chance you wont get to see the movie, the US has made its own “rip-off” version of the movie called “the guardian”. witch is similar to galeforce 10, but in a complete different story, except instead of a seaking, its the jayhawk 😉
