Can anybody tell me what this wing section (on the round about) is from please, the co-ordinates from Google Earth below take you to it and Street view shows it in detail.
43°34’16.17″ N 1°28’27.95″ E
Thanks

Wing Section
Many thanks for all the feedback and suggestions so far as this has been puzzling me for quite a while. Caravelle does look very close but perhaps doesn’t just quite fit. Welcome any further thoughts.

Hmmm – funnily enough my thoughts were on Caravelle too – but after browsing images on Google I couldn’t be certain as there seemed to be an extra wing fence outboard on all the examples I could see?
However, in the interests of this search – I spent some time fiddling with images on my pc, and came up with this comparison shot which seems to be very close apart from the angle of the trailing edge when trying to match the angle of the leading edge, if you see what I mean?
Curiosity has got me intrigued now – hopefully we’ll get a definitive answer to this one 😀

Good call Al, that would explain the forward sweep of the trailing edges aswel.
Maybe someone here can match up Caravelle outer wing panels with the specimen on the roundabout?

Looking directly from the front, the wing fences actually point inwards towards each other – looks to me like two airliner (maybe a Caravelle?) wings have been cut and shunted together to make a sculpture. That would alter the wingtip angle to give it that Dornier-like rake…

It is next to the now disused Montaudran Airfield which was used by Breguet as a test runway until the ’70s so there may be clue there?

On Streetview it’s noticable that there is a quite large wing fence either side of the centre – does that make it any easier to identify?

Span appears to be around 70 feet or so – but the wingtip rake doesn’t look acute enough for a Dornier..

I assume its something French as Toulouse-Blagnac is the centre of the French aviation industry?

Looks like Dornier planform, as used on 228/328 etc. Or could it be a Sculpture?
It seems to be just outside Toulouse airfield if that helps anyone here.
