Wings and Wheels Show: preview

Hello,

As some of you may know, I’m busy with to organise the Wings And Wheels event here in Belgium. This takes place at the airfield of Ursel in Belgium on the 13th, 14th and 15th of august 2005 in Belgium.

This is a very big Militatia show which attracts a militaria fair, 400 military vehicles and about 40 historic planes.

In this post, I would like to inform you about the current confirmed participating aircraft:

– Flying Legends Team with DH82a Tiger Moth, Stampe SV4c and SV4d and Boeing Stearman
– Auster MK 5 (NL)
– Boeing Stearman (UK)
– Piper Cub (Germany)+(NL)+(B)
– Chipmunk (B)
– Fiat G-46 (B)
– T6 Texan (B)
– Harvard MKIV (B)
– T28 Trojan (B)
– DHC Beaver (NL)
– P-51D Mustang (NL)
– Supermarine Spitfire MK IX (NL)
– Yak 52 (B)+(NL)
– Stampe SV4b (B)

Also some modern planes wil be there such as:

– F-16(B)
– Alpha Jet (B)
– Westland Sea King (B)
– Marchetti (B)
– Harrier (UK)

This list isn’t complete yet. I hope to bring some updates later.

No, sadly not this year Coert. But many thanks for your great support. I’m hoping that we will have Sarinah again with us in the future for shure. She was our big star last year and I was very much impressed by this lovley machine.

Yes TT! We are very glad that Vormezeele is going to attend this year with his Fiat G46. I will be very happy when this bird arrives here saturdaymorning.

And now, the event is almost there.

Final additions for aircraft section:

– EE Canberra Pr9 (RAF/UK) replacing Harrier mentioned in the first post
– Stinson L5 Sentinel (NL)
– Tipsy Trainer (B)
– Morane Saulnier Criquet/Friesler Storch (FR)
– MD 311 Flamant (FR)
– Alouette II (B)

I’ll keep my fingers crossed while I pray for good weather.

Don’t forget that we will also have more than 400 military vehicles and a big militaria fair here.

Indeed, we hope to recieve the twin tailed Sarinah!

The theme’s 60 year VE-DAY (Victory in Europe) and 65 year Battle Of Britain gives us a lot of “possible” participation. If you take a view on the www.wingsandwheels.be website, you can notice already some aircraft.

I only write what K.P. tells me to write! I hope that big (twin-tailed? :p ) bird may be added soon!
