Hey Danair, I think you’ll find that there’s plenty of room on this forum to criticise and comment – personal opinions also seem to be welcome when they’re based on fact or knowledge. You just need to be aware that in todays world of quick-fire litigation, internet forum owners are seen as culpable too if they allow potentially libelous posts to remain in place on their forums. I hope you stay, but if you choose to go elsewhere and post the same sort of thing as you did about MOL (yes, I saw it before it was removed), be aware that you’re potentially setting yourself and the operators of that forum for some rather nasty action in future.

Hey come on Danairboy, we all say the wrong thing every now and then, none of us are perfect. We’re all different people and from different backgrounds and have different views. What’s not offensive to one person is offensive to another, one man’s meat and all that. Ren and Mongua are right, in todays world we all have to think before we speak and try to be constructive if we need to critisise or at least make sure whatever you say is not in writing, been recorded or there are any witnesses!!!! Sorry, just joking.

Stay on Danairboy, we all put our foot in in from time to time. There’s a lot of great people on here with lots of different experiences, views, information etc. Think about it.

I got banned from this forum a while back, i was still visiting it though and reading through it all, and I really missed posting here, so I decided to Re join and now Im having fun! To be honest I think you are making the wrong decision but if leaving its what you wanna do, then go ahead, its your choice.
So if you are leaving, goodbye and maybe I will see you on a few other forums!

I was expressing a personal opinion, which I feel it is my right to be able to do but I accept the rules, although I dont agree that my comments were ‘out of line’Certainly I didnt appreciate some barrack room lawyer telling me it was wrong to post an opinion which is all it was and I have read many such opinions under various posts and feel the moderator should apply the rules to all.

I have decided not to post anymore and I intend to stick to that. I am a law-abiding citizen who would never say anything on here unless I could prove it as a fact! what I was doing was expressing an opinion which would not have been in anyway libellous, anyway I will still come on to read the posts and enjoy them, I will just refrain from making any posts. Its the principle.

My job is advising companies how to protect themselves from litigants and other creditors. It’s a crying shame that we need such protection these days, but there you go. It’s a crying shame that users like danairboy feel hard done by when they surely intend no more than some lively banter about the airline world.

But this forum is provided to us with no upfront charge. Accordingly we cannot expect the publisher to have a team of lawyers on call to defend it. So the rules set by the moderators need to be tough. It’s the price we pay for having this forum.

Your post was edited because you were making personal insinuations about Michael O’ Leary’s love life and other aspects of his personal life.

If his lawyers chose to, then they could very well want a word with Key Publishing, the webmasters and even you. There are rules regarding posting abusive comments and they are there for the benefit of the forum and it’s users as a whole. Not to pick on you or censor your opinions.
