At long last I am pleased to report that the Wings Museum will re-open bigger and better than before at a new location at Balcombe in West Sussex. The grand re-opening will take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st March 2010.
The new museum is approx 8 times the size of the old one and we will at long last be able to share “most” of our Russian recoveries as part of “Ghosts of the Tundra” display including, substantial remains of an A-20 Boston, P-63 King Cobra and our B5N2 Kate.
For more information see this months Flypast or see the museum website.
Thanks for being patient and we hope to welcome old and new visitors in March.

Thanks for stepping in with address! last minute panics getting the museum ready for the weekend.
Re Devon not sure really, it no longer fits into the museum theme of things, the museum is exclusively WW2. Will have a chat with those involved and will be making some decisions after the opening. On the other hand we have invested a lot of time and money into the restoration, it ground runs so is great fun and it is nice having a live airframe.
Thanks
Dan

Hi, Yes open every Saturday between March and October, if all goes well would like to see it open Saturdays and Sundays but depends on what help we get.
Thanks and hopefully see you soon.
Have you got an address or postcode for the museum so I can plan a visit ?

Please excuse me for resurrecting this, but a little reminder that the Wings Museum will reopen this Saturday and Sunday. Us “smaller” museums really do need your support so we hope you can come and visit us soon. If any other museum curators would like to exchange posters then please get in touch with me or drop me a PM.
On display is our Soviet A-20 Boston, Japanese B5N2 Kate, P-63 King Cobra, Hurricane and ex North Weald C-47 which has been restored to create a visitors walk through.
Thanks for reading.
