The annual Wings and Wheels event is staged at Henstridge Airfield, half way between Sherborne and Shaftesbury, on the north Dorset Border, on Saturday August 25th. Gates open to the public at 10am and admittance is £5 per person.
This is the 13th year of this event, organised by the Vintage Flying team, and it is expected that more than 100 vintage and classic aircraft will be on the airfield. The relaxed garden party atmosphere is supported by an excellent display of classic and vintage cars and a smalll range of trade stalls.
The airpark will open to the public at lunchtime, so that you can walk around the aircraft and get some fantastic pictures. Great food and refreshemnts are also available.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will also be doing a fly past during the day, so see the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane close up!
