Correct me if I’m wrong but considering that the F-14 had 159 confirmed victories with the IRIAF and 5 with the USN doesn’t it now have more A2A victories than the other three U.S fighters in whatever service. According to my info the approximate kills of the others are as follows with USAF, USN and all other operators.
F-15 – 95
F-16 – 93
F/A-18 – 2

Has anyone seen the RHINO patch that appeared in Jan’s AFM that mimicked the Tomcats? I burst out laughing when I saw it. It looks like one of those charactors used in those kiddie shows! What happened to the USN? Also now that I know that Phantoms were also called Rhinos I think it’s an insult to that aircraft to nickname SH’s Rhinos as well. Phantoms were a legend, Super Hornets are not, and never will be. Anyone disagree? Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld need to start using their brain. First **** took out the Tomcat in 91, now all three took out the Commanche last year, and now it looks like the F/A-22 is next. What alot of wasted money. Politicians really have no common sense!
