Does anyone know why low cost airlines appear to make the release of flights for a particular reason ‘staggered’?
For example, I got an email from Jet2 today telling me that MAN-ALC,AGP,MJV and BFS-PRG,BCN are now on sale, but thats it.
Nothing from Leeds, and nothing on any of the other routes.
Anyone know why airlines release a few routes at a time like this?
It appears by all the bumph on the website, that Faro will be the next on sale, from both Leeds and Manchester, and then it says Leeds are ‘coming soon’.
Thanks 🙂

Geneva on sale from MAN and LBA now, slowly, slowly flight are been released.
From LBA it changes a bit, but for the majority of the winter its daily apart from Saturday and Sunday when it is twice daily. Around Christmas, its also twice daily on a Monday and Tuesday. Goes down to 4 a week towards the end of winter.
Manchester timetable not up yet.

It would have been the LBA-Tenerife, thats been on sale a while now.
Aha, that was the one! 🙂
It was funny really. I wanted to see how much a flight to somewhere millions of miles away from Tenerife would cost. It said that this destination isn’t currently available, but Tenerife is!

Ah, Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga and Murcia have now gone on sale for the winter from LBA.
Alicante is daily, apart from between 9th Feb-9th of March, where it goes down to 5 flights a week, Barcelona is daily apart from between 5th Jan – 5th Feb, where it goes down to 4 flights a week, Malaga is daily apart from between 27th Nov – 18th Dec, and 9th of Jan – 9th of Feb where it goes down to 5 a week, and Murcia is either 3 times a week or 2 times a week depending when you look.

When looking at the Jet2 website recently, it told me that a particular flight for November-time could not be booked. I wasn’t actually wanting to book a flight – I was just curious as to their prices. But it offered me a solution and told me that one route for that same travel period could be booked, but I can’t remember what route that was.
Useless!

easyJet release the routes over a 3-4 week period due to excessive demand. For example parents flight was £40 to Malaga (one way including tax). They came to book it 5 minutes later without exiting page and were told it had sold out so they couldnt book. easyJet flights sell out once the £199 tickets sell…

You would think that LBA-ALC/AGP/PMI/MJV etc etc, would be more of a hot seller operating 3 times a day during the summer, and twice a day in the case of ALC and AGP last winter?
I know LBAs time will come, just curious, I hope they start a new route or 2!
Very true! Someone must know what they are doing im sure. There is a reason why these got released 1st. Wonder what?

Maybe so, though I think it could be to keep people hanging on, and to have more anticipation ahead of the flights going on sale and suckers like me, (LOL), checking the site every day 🙂
