Hi,
Just bought the wife a laptop and we want to wireless link it to our modem. I have installed our broadband software, we are with Telewest.
The laptop recognises the router, it’s a Linksys Wireless-G, but doesn’t want to connect to the modem/internet. It says it can’t find server. If I wire up the laptop direct to the modem it works ok.
Problem seems to be with the router to modem.
Anyone have any ideas?

Shouldn’t be a problem, I’ve got our 2 laptops running 98, 2000 and XP on a wireless network without any trouble. I haven’t yet found a flavour of Linux that understands the wireless network card.
Presumably the main PC connects the same way, router and modem?
Have you told IE never to connect and use a LAN?
