Wizzair to LGW!

Well i havnt been this happy for a long time. Not only is it a new airline to log. But a new livery to admire:p

Wizz Air announced today that it would launch its Katowice – London Gatwick flight from January 31 2008. Gatwick is already the third London airport where passengers from Katowice airport will be able to fly with Wizz Air. The new route will be operated daily.
By introducing London Gatwick to its network from Katowice, Wizz Air will increase its number of routes from its largest base to 25. This will further reinforce its position as the leading airline in Silesia, which offers the most flights on most routes from Katowice.
The new flights are already on sale for as low as GBP 19.99 all inclusive on wizzair.com or through the Wizz Air call centre on +48 22 351 94 99.

Great news at LGW today

Not great times for spotting though, Josh. A quick look shows that it arrives at 2025!

Night Time is the best time to go planespotting:D And Jon Wizz Air only fly A320’s Be good seeing them at LGW do you think the route would work?

I’m no expert at aviation photography as its not something I’m into, but I’ve seen some fantastic evening/night shots of Wizzair a/c, their livery just seems to work well under floodlights. I guess not so good on the runway though;)

Indeed, but the spotting locations at Gatwick enable spotting/photography only when aircraft are on approach (especially true for 26L):(. Damn BAA.

Cool…I love WizzAir’s livery, but will be shame not to see it in daylight!

I assume it will be operated by one of their A320’s?

Could this be in retaliation for Easyjet’s recent announcement regarding their proposed continued expansion into Central Europe from LGW?
