Good article and excellent pics of the mighty Shackletons last flight in the latest Aircraft Illustrated! Can you spot the “ghost” in the front gunners dome?

The aircraft attended Oshkosh in 1998. Remember seeing her depart. Last time I saw a “Shack” in the air……….a great memory.

Great set of photos Paul, it really was sad to see her retired, I can remember when she was a regular at various airfields around Lincolnshire.

So sad to see the old geezer silenced and thousands of miles away from home, but probably stands a better chance of long term survival out there in the dry heat.
