I came across it on YouTube just before Christmas and was enthusing about it to my daughter and her boyfriend,who’s twenty-five.
He actually asked me,”What’s a flying-boat ?”
Young people these days know nothing.

But magnificent footage all the same.

To see that huge wing and Bristol hercules engines I can’t help but think of her sister the mighty Stirling!

Ah BumbleBee I though that would get your attention. Brilliant footage even though I’m not much of a fan of machines that have an identity crisis. Doesn’t know whether it’s a boat or a plane.
