Woodchurch 2006

An initial selection from todays display, a superb show that has almost outgrown the airfield, the record crowd led to lengthy jams getting in and out, but given the unusual layout of Woodchurch ALG the entry and exit options may be limited. The hazy conditions were not ideal for photography but here goes.

G-BARS, formerly WK520, or the Vomit Comet as I know her (though I am getting better…..as long as red wine doesn’t come into the equation!). Her owner was busy with a certain Seafire thingmejig at the time 😀

Lee,

From personal expierience I suggest you add Trout to the Red Wine that needs to be avoided. 😮

Some more great shots there Gary, How old is Rob?

Thanks EGPH, Manston Airport.

Melvyn does indeed own the ‘Red Beaver’, why don’t you ask Robbo how old he is! 😀

Two final shots of SallyB to finish.

Manston
The seafire did a display with John Beatty at the controls and in formation with the Spit flown by Peter Teichman

Thank you for info 😀

This is the return from one of the Headcorn sorties. Bloody awful landings on both of them. I spent close to seven hours polishing the Beaver on Saturday and the first thing I saw on this pic was oil stains!
Seconded.

Melv,

Seven hours cleaning 😮 Oil Stains, ground in dirt, you need Cillit Bang or Robbo and his team!

very nice pics. Like the take off shots. The haze was not helped by a combine harvester chucking up crop dust our way ever now and again the other side of the airfield behind the trees. However eveybody has a job to do particularly a farmer.
