From the official Website……….
After many years of holding the annual “Woodchurch Wings & Things” charity event, we have taken the difficult decision not to go ahead with the show this year.
It is with sadness and regret that we have taken this decision. There are many contributory factors, not least is the ever increasing burden of bureaucracy and cost now surrounding health and safety and flying; also escalating fuel and insurance costs.
We have been extremely fortunate with the continued support given to Wings and Things over the years, and our thanks to all those that have been involved.

That a shame, I never managed to get to on of the shows as often work weekends, But this year i had that weekend off.
I know i am preaching to the converted but now more than ever we need to support our airshows especially the smaller ones.

Redhill has indeed been cancelled, but there will be a fly-in and aerojumble at Redhill Aerodrome on Saturday 22nd September – there may also be one or two displays aswell. See http://www.redhillairshow.co.uk .
Acebell say they hope to bring back Redhill Airshow proper in 2008 all going well. Remember to support these events if you want them to continue.

What a real shame, I went last year for the first time (and the last time it seems) and it was one of the highlights of my year in terms of airshows, a cracking little venue and a brilliant airshow. Really sorry to hear it is cancelled.

Thanks must go to Rob and his team for holding the event for many years and devoting huge amounts of time and effort to ensure it was the success it has been for many years.
