Hi everybody, thought I would like to share with you photographs of some wooden model aircraft that were built for me. As you will probably see, they are meant more for the childrens market and are usually sold as “Toys”. Hope you will agree that they are more suitable for collecting and displaying. If you want to see any more, (Lancasters, Halifaxes, Blenheims, and so on), please let me know and I will post more photographs.

Hi Tom,
I dont think there is a “True” scale for these aircraft but I recon somewhere around 1:48th would be fairly accurate.
They were made for me by an old chap living in Fife (Scotland).
I will send you a name and address privately and let you get in touch with him yourself as I dont know wether he still makes them or not.
Will put some more pics on here soon.

Scale
Can you give us an idea of the scale of each plane and how one can obtain copies?

Wooden Wonders
Hi Roger,
The Manchester was built specialy for me about 3 years ago and it got to the stage where I would request a subject and lo and behold it would arrive through the post about a month later.
All of them are hand carved which must make them fairly unique.
Some more pictures to follow.

The Manchester is an unusual subject. Are these recently built models?

Very nice, beats the Wooden Bucc and Tornado that I made in woodwork classes at School.
