We spent Friday and Saturday up at Woodahall Spa and I just felt I had to post an image of the memorial in the autumn sunshine.
What made the weekend even more near-perfect was the Spitfire (Presumably on an airtest from Coningsby) that tore apart the silence in the woods near the Petwood as we explored on Saturday morning.

As we walked around Woodhall Spa, which is an really pleasant little Lincolnshire village / town, I couldn’t help but think how heartbreakingly beautiful it must have seemed to the crews who would have given anything just to enjoy being there without the threat of many more ‘ops’ to come, the sadness of friends lost.
They fought, and in many cases died, to give Mrs Moggy and I the chance to explore the town with no fear hanging over us on a perfect autumn day. For that I am eternally grateful.
