Just a quick question regarding TV coverage of the london bombings…
When 9/11 happened, in the UK every channel was covering it solidly for about five hours. Whilst nowhere near the amount of destruction involved, i was wondering if any other countries TV channels (especially the US) covered the London bombings for anything over a few minutes after internal news.

It was on here on four of the six channels, with a live broadcast for most of the night, and nearly all the next day

I know my mum phoned to say that some of the Spanish TV News channels were focusing on the events of Thursday 7th July. When she went to a big shopping centre (on the Friday) they were holding a 2 minutes silence.

Its been pretty prominant on TV and radio news in Australia. I think after the Bali bombing (90 Australians killed and many more injured), and later the bombing of our embassy in Jakarata, most Australians can understand the trauma.

In Belgium (Ok, we are not far), it has been top of the news for several days, and you had special newsflashes, and on the day of the bombings, also several hours of broadcasting.
