Worst Christmas movie?

‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la lala la…nearly.
Except there have been a few turkeys churned out over the years, in the name of festive entertainment, that stank. Do you have an opinion on the dross that should never have been unwrapped?

For me it is a toss up between Scrooged and Home Alone… A modern remake of A Christmas Carol with Bill Murray, or gurning munchkin Macaulay Culkin beating up some burglars in that good ole American way?
Jingle All The Way follows close behind, though.

Not a “Christmas” movie per se, but I think this will hand Harry Potter his ass next month…

King Kong

More than likely!

There is a limit to how many times you can watch the great escape.

There is????

Most films that are Christmas based are naff.
It’d be easier to list the GOOD Christmas films…

My list…

They’re almost all turkeys so far as I’m concerned.

I can mention an absolute classic, though – the 1950’s black and white adaptation of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” starring Alastair Sim.

“Scrooge” it was called and, if there were any justice in the world, the man would have won an Oscar.

Wizzard of Oz 😉 Anna 😀

Sorry, The Wizard of OZ in not a Christmas movie….at least no more than The Dam Busters.
That may be when the BBC shows it, but I’ve never heard anyone in the US say it was a Christmas movie. It’s a fantasy…but no mention of Christmas in it. What’s next…Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?

There was a movie released last year with James Gandolfini and Ben Affleck that was just horrible! I can’t remember the tittle but from the previews I saw, it didn’t look good at all! 🙁
