Worst crimes commited against aircraft

What do you think the stupidest modification made on an aircraft is, worst colour scheme ever to be applied, worst thing ever done to an aircraft such as storage or its dumping. There must be some real horror stories out there, whats your fav? Mine is the British governments decision to replace the engines on its new Phantoms with Rolls Royce Speys. Made a great plane wider and less powerful. Stupid government decision based on national pride. I’m not so fussed with the engine decision on the WAH-64 Apaches because I think Apaches fairly useless anyway.Just far too complicated for their own good.
