I was recently having a chat with some friends about what we thought were bad names for bands. Lots of names were suggested with a lot of disagreement between us. I won’t mention the names mentioned apart from two examples that I mentioned. So what do you think are bad band names/
Two of mine were Counting Crows and Panic at the disco.
Over to you.

I would go with, Not totally seriously but here you go;
*Barenakedladies- Because the name does’nt do “What it say’s on the tin” so to speak, Surely they are breaking some sort of Trade Discriptions act. 😀 .
*Prefab Sprout- Amusing but does it mean anything?
*Def Leppard- Badly spelt Leppard that should’nt be victimised due to hearing Difficency :D.
* The Test Icicles- Actially i like that one
*Blur- My flatmate says sounds like somebody throwing up so its good enough for me.

If you dislike Dead Kennedys, i’m sure you won’t be able to appreciate the Snorting Maradonas either.
I’d like a band to stand up called Marrillion Hanson. Twelve-year old session-musicians singing catchy, close-harmony gruesomely boring symphonic gothmetal. Probably can’t p!ss off more people in one go.

Myself and some friends were gonna get together as a band. We thought of the name “Conga eel in abiscuit tin” but nothing ever came of it.

The purple helmets 😀 ,
Got one of their albums, quite like the name myself.
I know this is supposed to be bad names but one I like is a name that REM used when they played a secret gig.
Bingo Hand Job.

Herman’s Hermits……hermits live ALONE for goodness sake,so why would any of them wanna be in a band :confused:
Because it gets lonely out in the fens….and I hear rock stars get “money for nothin’ and chicks for free.” 😀
