Dear All, for our project there are many parts that we will simply not be able to afford to buy, and in any case, some may pose health issues for us in an educational setting. I am therefore looking for a loan of some of those hard to find items, initially an original gun button, or even an entire spade grip, an undercarriage indicator, flap gauge, and the cast metal coaming that shapes the skin at the front of the cockpit above the instrument panel.
As an ex-modelmaker and effects guy from the film industry, I will be showing the students how we make silicone molds and cast our own pieces for our project.
I realise this is a big ask, these parts are getting valuable now, but if you know our project, you’ll know the value it holds for the young generation. I can assure anyone who lends items to us that they will be securely looked after and returned either in person or by insured, signed for delivery.

I have followed your project from a distance and with much admiration.
I don’t own any parts to assist with your project.
However, I do have some signed prints of Battle of Britain airmen that I would be willing to let you have.
You could either auction them off to gain some funds or use them to brighten up your work area.
There are about 30 in total.
