Would you give up your seat on a train to a girlie ?

Interesting debate here…

Should a man give up his seat on a busy train to a woman simply because she is female?

Once I was on a train sitting next to an elderly gentleman, who was wearing a Battle of Britain tie. I remarked upon it and we spent the entire journey from Oxford to London Padington talking about it. I have never had such an interesting conversation in my life, and to be fair he was more than a little surprised that someone of my age:
a) recognised the tie
b) actually cared enough to comment on it
c) was interested in knowing more about it.

It’s good that some of us actually do care about what they did…….I salute them all!!!!!!!!! 🙂

I would give my seat to the elderly and a woman/girl. I do expect at thank you when I do so but some women think it is there given right to have the seat which it isn’t and they have a go when you don’t, never ecountered an elderly person not saying thanks

……and to follow a similar thought in this thread – I’d accept………..if he was good looking!! 😉

Well, a couple of weeks ago on the bus I sat next to a really good looking young woman. She fell asleep on my shoulder, hadn’t seen her before and will probably never see her again 🙂 😮 She felt a bit embarresed however, but I did not want to wake her up, untill i had to get of the bus.

On the train subject, isn’t it just so annoying when the whole train is quiet and someone starts talking loudly on the phone? It’s usually those business people…

Alot of “might be” there baz. That seems to be the main reason for the 19th century attitude.Honestly,if a Sheila is that frail why even go on public transport?
It’s an excuse & a pretty poor one.
Just because they’re a Sheila doesn’t automatically mean they need a seat. It’s an excuse used by rude & selfish women who don’t actually have a genuine need.

It`s been 14 days since my last post on this subject.A lot of arguements about equality etc.How about equal pay? Still, today, the gals are paid less than the guys for loadsa jobs.
Back to the subject of giving up your seat, and here`s where this post may be edited, how do we ( males ) know that the lady standing isn’t on her “cycle”? The loss of blood, let alone the constant nagging pain, would,in anybody, make you feel unwell.Just because a “bird looks fit” shouldn’t mean that she feels fit!
Come on guys, these gals suffer on a regular basis. If you only give up your seat once a month then it’s a start.Hell, you might just get used to it 😎

women have been after equality for ages and yet some still expect to be treated differently in certain situations. If the women in question is pregnant or elderly then yes I would offer my seat. Would also offer if the person (male/female) looked as if they needed it. However if neither of these conditions apply then I would probably not.

Also reverse the question – would a women give up her seat for a non elderly, healthy looking bloke?

Hey………I meant it as a technical term (my last post got modded) – that’s the only trouble with slang words for the males reproductive organs – they use words that mean something completely innoncent like the ation taken to eject an empty casing from the firing chamber of a rifle or pistol and reload a fresh round in it’s place (that’s what I meant!!!!) 🙁

I’m afraid that I’ve been brought up to do things like that………in fact I’m suppost to stand to attention while a woman puts a bullet through my head rather than put up a fight because I won’t hit a woman……….although I doubt very much that I would actually do that……..I’d knock the gun out of her hand, pick it up, push the magazine reliece catch (if it has one) and re-**** it (that would eject any round already inside the chamber………..

Why? Doesn’t make them more deserving than anyone else.Either women want equality or they don’t.It’s exactly that kind of grossly hypocritical,flip-flopping that makes political correctness so f**king retarded & unbelievably stupid.
If I give up a seat,it’s because someone looks as if they need it.Gender does not & should not come into it.
In situations like that,it’s the new being black.Devious & hypocritical women using their physical traits to take advantage.

I would give up my seat to a woman whether or no she was attractive. I’ve been brought up that way….
