Its indeed was a fine day for your nation and I extended all my best wishes to the newly weds. A happy day in my book and with all the worlds troubles it was nice to see something happy & postive for a change….What a great idea to include the FLYPAST of THE BBMF over the place in salute to the young couple…………..I turned this up many times on the speakers ….the mighty roar of those Merlins against the walls of the palace is might & powerful!!!! A real tribute to that past generation of British airmen who gave their all to insure a day like Saturday. Man I love the sounds of the Merlins……. ROAR ON MIGHT MERLINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS We all got a laugh over the little bridesmade covering her ears…she have this wonderful memory for years to come…I tell you old BlueNoser had a lump in his throat & a misty eye when those wonder planes came soaring over…wish they colud have made a second pass!!!!

EWAN thanks so much for the note on Bodney
Ewan :
Well what a morning it is here in the USA……… the forces of good took down one evil man last night ……..NAVY SEALS much like your outstanding SAS took out some major evil last night and thanks for the note on Bodney … I am sure the spirits who reside there welcomed that unique sound of the Merlin soaring overhead of that patch of ground so special to many of us who know its history ! Haven’t been to Bodney since the early 90’s. I had hoped that the 352nd FG would try and restore the tower ..but guess the cost would be to great ! Nice to hear this pilot payed those who flew from there many years ago in tribute !!!! Hope all is well in your world Sir!! Wow what a weekend …..

I’m sure you also be pleased to hear that, while everyone was watching the Royal wedding, a lone P-51D Mustang paid tribute to the fallen airmen and the ghosts of Bodney aerodrome by performing some flypasts and rolls overhead the long deserted airfield..
‘Janie’ or ‘Marinell’?:)
