WPAFB trip Images

Here’s where I’ll start posting a mess of the pictures I took at the WPAFB USAF Museum this past week or so. Had to make three trips up there to finally get access to the new Cold War hall, which was closed the first two days due to moving aircraft around and such. Still about half empty, and none of the interesting platforms were able to be photographed effectively, but oh well.

First up is something totally unrelated but amusing nevertheless. Shot this out the window of the jet I flew in from St. Louis to Cincinnati. I forgot the Boeing (ex-McD-D) plant was there, and was able to power up the camera and zoom in time to get this shot of a brand-new F/A-18F on the ramp. Definitely pleased with how the camera perfomed on the trip (Olympus Camedia C-740UZ).

ANYway, as most of the pictures are freakin’ HUGE (over 1MB in size), most will have to be resized and cropped for posting here, but this is where they’ll show up.
