Why does the above post read like a SPAM message?
Apologies if it’s not, but you comment is rather vague and the address looks rather suspicious. 🙂
The OP’s newspaper article link, the second link from soggy to a Japanese youtube video, are both safe, and both worth the look.

The thread title has a large element of surprise contained within it -those wrecks have been deteriorating since the day they went down.
The surprise appears to be that they continue to do so. I mean, what do they expect? Aluminium or steel in sea water is a great combination for rampant corrosion and it’s going to continue until they have rotted away completely – looting or no looting.

My issue is that they are getting robbed. Looting is looting after all.
I have seen a documentry on Truc, as soon as another ship was found it was raided. Would this be OK on a Lancaster, Halifax, Spitfire wreck?

Not a surprise really, it has been almost 70 years after all. But what hasn’t been mentioned is the amount of looting of the wrecks by tourists and locals.
While I appreciate the significance of these ships as war graves, to be honest looting parts at least saves them. Eventually all that will be left is a red stain on the sea bed.

And………………Is that good or bad?
Hazard a guess, the clue is in the word ‘looting’.
