Wroughton Open Day

Took the family to the Science Museum Swindon open day today – my two year old daughter loved it – especially riding on the bus!

Attached are most of the aviation exhibits that were on display, plus a selection of some of the other wonders of the Science Museum store that were on display – to give a flavour of what is there. I am afraid that I only had my little Cannon Ixus with me, which is not really designed for this sort of photography so tthe photos are not much cop I’m afraid. I have also heavily squeezed the file size to post them to keep well within my archive limits, but if anyone wants a larger version of anything posted please shout.

Nice report, nothing like airing out a few treasures that don’t often see the light of day!:)

Thanks – very kind of you.

Some more – the crated German engines must be quite rare?

The top pair of banks of the DB610 see rather close together – no wonder they suffered from cronic overheating!
