Just a few pics, to show the progress being made on our Sea Hawk at MAM.
She’s really starting to look fresh now. 🙂

Part-timer!!!…..tut tut tut ……..5 hours I was there before I got called out. 😀
Cheeky kids! 😉
Anyway, all I could hear was the sound of inverters and you twiddling with your knob/knobs (on the Hunter of course 😮 )
Over and out!
Kev 😉

And just to show it doesn’t happen by magic, here’s the A Team at work… 😀
Pic 1 shows Malcolm on the left, with that part-timer Kev doing the tall bits…lol
Pic 2 shows Gordon doing the short bits….lol
Somehow Malcolm always ends up with the most to do 😮 Thanks to Malcolm and Gordon (the “official A Team”) the Museum has a rapidly increasing repainted collection these days. Gonna have to stop them painting the main road outside though 😀

Will there be attempts to bring life back to the cockpit eventually like the hunter or canberra?
Short answer, no. Sea Hawk has the old-style rubberised wiring, not considered safe enough to put power through it after standing around for 20 odd years. The checksand re-wiring where necessary would take too long and be to expensive I reckon.

Great job on the Sea Hawk! She looks like a completely different airplane now well done! Will there be attempts to bring life back to the cockpit eventually like the hunter or canberra?
