:rolleyes: Can anyone tell me where I can get a list of WW1 Airfields as I am trying to trace one which I think was situated between Northamptonshire and Huntingdon/Cambridge area

Dakota2: I can’t tell you where to find a list of WW1 Airfields (have you tried Google?) however, Portholme Meadow at Huntingdon was used extensively for flight training during WW1 (also site of an early aircraft factory). Look left when travelling westbound on the A14 at Huntingdon as you cross the river bridge and you will see.
RAF Wyton also near Huntingdon was an active airfield during WW1. One of the original WW1 hangars was (untill 3years ago) in use as a garage/repair facility in central Huntingdon by Murketts garages. Now the site of Sainsbury’s.
RAF Upwood originally WW1 airfield.
