Hello
I bought this item recently at a London Antiques fair. When I first saw it from a distance I thought it was an early desk microphone but when I picked it up I found it was a really interesting looking aero compass! It is marked on the top “H Hughes & Son Creagh Osbourne ” and around the glazed window “C-C Aero Compass” and the Patent dates are from 1915. I do not seem to be able to find anything else out about this, Like what type of aircraft it might have been used on? etc…..so I thought I would pick a few brains on this forum!
PS Please have a look at my Westland Scout “wants” list on my website(link below) to see if you can help with any of the missing items for the project.
Cheers
Simon.
