It was the Vickers Viking Flying Boat that ended up at Brooklands not the S6B.
The Viking was lovingly restored and is displayed in the Hanger.
Merry Christmas..

Thorpe park DH2
An update to the list on the previous link
Airco DH2 BAPC-112/”5694″.Now at Museum of Army Flying,Middle Wallop,Hants.
This left there a number of years ago, after being retrieved from a skip on the base. The last time I saw it was approx 18 months ago, when it was being slowly restored by its owner, based near Rugby.

The Vickers ended up at Brooklands – the Sopwith Baby was at Lands End but is now reported up in Yorkshire . Most of the rest seem to have headed stateside .

Here’s the link to a previous thread about the Thorpe Park collection. The S6B replica is now displayed at Planes of Fame.

I have a 1987 Christie’s sale catalogue which lists,
Fokker Dr1 triplane
Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a
Fokker DV11
Bristol M1C Monoplane
Sopwith F1 Camel, flyer G-BFCZ
Schneider trophy Reps,
Vickers Supermarine S6B
Macchi M39
Curtiss R3C-2
Sopwith Baby
Deperdussin Schneider trophy seaplane.
I think the Schneider reps went to the USA. Also wasn’t there a De havilland DH2 that at one time at Middle Wallop.

I know about the FLYING Reps, it was the STATIC reps that were at Thorpe Park if you read the post correctly! I was interested in finding out what happened to them or if they were still there, did a search but didnt find much.

We did this a year or two ago, so should all be in the archives.
In short they are dispersed,- some crashed , like the parasol Fokker, the S5 replica, the D7 (I think), Robin Bowes Triplane but the Camel is at Yeovilton, another Middle Wallop. That is all I can remember OTTOMH.
