WW2 British file denied public access till 2015

G’ day all formite’s and mod’s!:D

I had been reading the book for the second time, called Herman Goring-Hitler Paladin or Puppet?
by Wolfgang Paul.Transnslated by Helmut Bogler.
Great book!

And I came across an interesting bit about the start of WW2.

A little back ground, It’s late September 1939, and a dude called Dahlerus is the in between man, for Goring and the ZBritish, the Brit’s are pinning hope’s that Goring can stop his Austrian mate’s nasty plan’s, and negotiate peace term’s..

By now Dahlerus has met the Brit nob’s again(as he flew back and forward from London to Berlin and other place’s non stop), Sir Alex Cadogan on the 28th Sept then on 29th Frank K Roberts, then Chamberlain, Halifax and Codogan again. He was back in Berlin at the end of Sept.

Now here’s the bit I found interesting. I’ll take a bit from the book

” At the beginning of October discussions in London about peace plans must have taken place, because on the 2nd of October the American Ambassador Kennedy telegraphed Secretary of State Cordell Hull that he had spoken to Churchill, who, as an exponent of the hard line, was considering an armistice.

In the British file FO 371-22 985 (Germany, German aims, future policy, etc.) for the period 3-4 October 1939, 45 pages have been denied public access until the year 2015 “.

Now I am still planning to be around in 2015 with luck, and I may try and get a squiz at this file, It make’s me wonder why it’s been locked for that long!

Anyway’s just thought I would put it down somewhere, as the book’s overdue as usual and must go back!:p

Ciao for now all, Oooooo Roooooo!;)

Goring had Eddie and Mr’s S over at his Carinhall Estate all the time, and said himself Eddie should have been king.

The bit I liked was when, the BEF’S stuffed, and Hitler’s looking across at them and turn’s and say’s to Goring get ya Luft and wipe em off the beach, prove to me their worth all the cost.

Which he could not do of course, but tried!

Then when ya’s got away, back across the chunnel, Hitler’s best nob’s said we must go right now, look all their gear is here, strike before they recover.

Hitler goe’s NO, we have humiliated them enough already, I admire them greatly the English, and I don’t won’t to rub their nose’s in it.

The English will see sence now, at their lost cause, and join together with us and rule Europe then more, we are not their natural enemy.

DOH!!!

He was MAD!

Is that why the Spook’s let him live so long???;)

Imagine if someone with real brain’s was running the Nazi show!!

‘Ghost Force’ sounds right up my street. It can’t fail to raise a chuckle or three in someone who served 22 years in the army. I think I already had a warped sqaddy sense of humour before I even joined up

Sound’s interesting!

G’ day again,

Well Ok Goring.

Dr Goring his father got around a bit, he was made in charge of a German protectorate a one point, and but was also great mate’s with that wacko white racist supremist Rhode’s Sn in Africa.

When later Goring Jr thought he could be big as a diplomat, and even thought of himself as a peace maker.

Goring Jr did arrive in London during these talk’s, BUT the german minister Rippon von wat ever I think in London, smacked his wrist sort of and hid and sent him straight back to Germany. same day/night!(which pissed Goring right off).

When they talk of Hess, Goring said the born overseas german was alway’s slighty mad, and finally cracked when the war got going.

Galland descibed Hess who he knew as a very good pilot, like he was going to try and pull the emergence brake, on an already out of control train.

(Galland knew also he had no real hope of shooting Hess down on the way past, but put up a token effort anyway.)

His mission becoming the Worm seem’s to be just off his own bat!

Great pilot, but nutty as a fruit cake(even more then the rest of Hitler’s goon line up!)

I think he was gone in the head even before Churchill had his brain bombed with all those early ” You Vil talk za truth ” supposed drug’s.

And yes that file and many other from WW2 still do exist, and are closed for a bit longer yet.

I am now reading a most interesting book, ground pounder’s for a change.

” GHOST FORCE “

The Secret History Of The SAS. By Ken Connor.

1998 ISBN 0 297 84080 0

MAN, What a TOP BOOK!!:dev2:

I alway’s knew you Pommie’s were dirty :p , I was just not sure of just how MUCH!! 😀

I pisssed myself 😀 with those exploding fancy framed portrait’s of Egypt’s Prez Nasser, they were handing out to arrrr um friend’s:rolleyes: in the East and Far east.

It is really an amazing book whick I would recomend to all, not all blood and gut’s, but some very funny stuff depending on your sence of humour 😀 .

Must be off, Ciao, Oooo Rooooo for now!

Stormbird:

You may find the following of interest, if you have not come across them already, in shedding more light on the behind-the-scenes activities of the hierarchy of all combatant nations, and those of significant neutrals (USA, Switzerland) by searching out the following:

‘Double Standards The Rudolf Hess Cover Up’
‘War of the Windsors A Century of Unconstitutional Monarchy’ and
‘Friendly Fire The Secret War Between the Allies’ all by Lynn Picknett, Clive Prince and Steven Prior with additional historical research by Robert Brydon.

Also Martin Allen’s ‘Hidden Agenda: How the Duke of Windsor Betrayed the Allies’ provides more that will give some idea of what was probably going in the upper echelons of society and some elements of the royal family.

The truth is possibly explosive and is why it has been so well hidden and why some documents are under long term lock. By the time the folios are made available most documents of any value or interest in providing the full picture within will have surely been ‘lost’.

Google on the titles for synopsis and reviews but I would suggest taking the reviews by Thomas Dunskus(Faleyras Frankreich) with a ‘pinch of salt’, is he really commenting on the books by the titles concerned?

Stormbird, don’t want you to be ignored.

Poland didn’t actually surrender until the 6th October, with such limited intelligence at the time and a fluid battleground, it’s doubtful whether the military situation was totally understood. When you mention Armistice, no doubt the powers that be with all the influence, Chamberlain and Halifax in particular, who didn’t want to hurtle Europe into a war, were trying to prevent further fighting in Poland and hoped to restrict the attack, agree certain gains and satisfy Polish self esteem, if at all possible.
As First Lord of the Admiralty, and with his track record as far as the government was concerned, it’s doubtful whether Churchill was allowed to have much influence on such important decisions.
Anyway, whats Goering got to do with this, I doubt if he was held in much respect by even Halifax, Hess was the second in command, wouldn’t he have been the one to talk to.
I’m not an expert, there may be substance in this, but it’s probably more likely covering up for the dithering by the government.
Quite frankly, in my opinion, had the BEF and French army stormed into Germany while they were preoccupied with territorial gains, WW2 may have petered out, but it’s easy to say all this with hindsight.
Swap your OZ weather for our stinking British summer, the Poms will be defeated at cricket by the weather at this rate, perhaps they could play their test matches at the new Wembley Stadium with the roof closed.
Pete.
