Dear all
Did the Germans use dimpled rivets in WW2? A wreck has been found – it is thought to be either US or German. It has dimpled rivets…!

US spec rivets can be dimpled too, it identifies a particular rivet material. Not sure how far this goes back in time though.

I’ve got a piece of Bf110 wing spar / wing skin that has rivets with a tiny dimple on the (flat) head.
